Viswaroopam - A Religious Headache? NO!!
ISLAM: A Religion discovered and propagated by men just like every other religion. All those which now are effectively used to massacre and murder people without any solid reason. Oh yes, there are reasons, its the religion. It doesn't matter what religion it is, anything that can validate murder or human torture cannot be considered as something that can be followed.
Truth is getting hidden behind all this religious furor.
Everyone knows the truth and when someone wants to tell it out loud, there it goes.. All HELL gets LOOSE!!
For Kamal sir, this ain't new. It happened back for 4 or 3 of his films when they were blocked days before the planned release. Either held up in court or by the government.
Few years back a movie named "Passion of the Christ" released globally. It was blocked in TN under the Karunanithi government. When the community which is directly involved in the movie accepted it without any revolt, TN blocked it. When Da Vinci Code was released, Christians accepted it all over the world and specifically there was not any such stupid baseless ill-minded revolts in USA, UK, Canada and thousand other countries which has Christianity as their fundamental religion.
But here we are...
I dont know what to say... Out of words...
Outraged and furious when I saw the news that the movie hit a road block...
Kamal Sir has to move out of TN or perhaps India. If you ask me the reason, yes, his talents are not appreciated enough here where people love to defame their own kith and kin. World stage still has to see what this genius has to show. When it sees, I for one will be happy and PROUD then..!!
Just like times back then, Kamal sir will surely overcome this.
Not only for Kamal's movies, generalizing this, I just wanna tell that TRUTH MUST NEVER BE HIDDEN BEHIND VEILS NAMED "RELIGION"

ReplyDeletea) Truth must neve be hidden behind veils named "Religion". Well said and living in USA, I totally agree, as USA was mainly habitated bcos of Religious backlash of European catholics
b) Kamal sir has to move out of TN or even India. I said the same in a tweet today. If he is a hollywood actor, he will be treated on par with Tom Hanks or Leonardo dicaprio. But he is too dedicated to tamil cinema to do that.

ReplyDeleteHe is indeed dedicated to Tamil Cinema but I feel that the rage in him will burst out one day. I dunno how that is going to be, but that will result in a big change on what he is going to do next..!!
